Caring for a loved one with dementia is both meaningful and demanding. While caregivers give so much of themselves every day, their own emotional and physical well-being is often overlooked. At The Cortland Holland, we recognize the vital role caregivers play—and we believe they deserve support, understanding, and a place to recharge.
To honor and support those caring for seniors with dementia, The Cortland Holland is hosting a Fireside Chats Family Support Group focused on Caring for the Caregiver. This special gathering is designed to provide encouragement, education, and connection in a comfortable, welcoming setting.
The Fireside Chats Family Support Group: Caring for the Caregiver will take place on Thursday, January 15th at 1:30 PM at The Cortland Holland. This supportive and informal gathering will be led by guest speaker Sara Borrink, RN, with Heartland Hospice, who will share professional insight and compassionate guidance for those caring for loved ones with dementia. Guests are invited to enjoy coffee and treats while connecting with others in a warm, welcoming environment.
To attend, please RSVP in advance by contacting Jenny at 616-581-7394 or by email at [email protected]. We look forward to welcoming you to this meaningful event and encourage caregivers and family members to join us for an afternoon of support and connection.
